Dear John,

When we've been married sixty years, I hope our family will gather around us.  I hope there will be laughter and stories and cakes and great-grand babies to pass away the time.  I hope we will have endured well and left behind a legacy worth repeating.  I hope we are as happy as your grandparents were tonight.
