Seabird

Maggie finished reading Seabird last Friday. I read it first, as I do most of their books, and while it was definitely good learning material, I thought it was rather boring. She LOVED it. From her summary: "It is a neat story of a bird carving that follows a family throughout several generations. The ivory gull played a part in each man's way of life, and it changed slightly for each person as the world around him changed. I really liked how the story starts and ends with the ivory gull."

I think I need to go back and give it a second chance.
