Life is funny.

We went to see Toy Story 3, which by the way, is definitely not funny. There are some very funny parts, but the movie is definitely sad for mommies--especially mommies who have children that are growing up entirely too quickly.

We went with some friends who have children Maggie's and Bentley's ages (the boy is Maggie's age, the girl is Bent's age). After the movie, we were heading to our cars and the kiddos were a few steps ahead of us. We looked up and Maggie and the boy were HOLDING HANDS. This is how our conversation went:

Me to other mom: "What are they doing? They're holding hands!"

Other mom: "What? What do we do?"

Me: "I don't know, what do we do?"

And then we realized...they were crossing the parking lot. Seriously, we have no business parenting teenagers; we need them to stay in the 10-and-under bracket for a long, long time.

Oh Amy that made me laugh and terrified me all at the same time! I think we will never leave the house when the teenage years arrive!
